Have a happy and safe Fourth of July weekend. Just keep a couple things in mind when using fireworks. A lot of pets, particularly dogs, get really spooked out by fireworks. Horses are particularly sensitive, as well. But something often not considered is effect fireworks can have on some military veterans. Just be respectful and have a safe weekend.

NATIONAL DOUGHNUT (DONUT) DAY on the 1st Friday in June, honoring the Salvation Army Lassies who served doughnuts to soldiers during WWI.

In 1917, the original “Salvation Army Doughnut” was first served by the ladies of the Salvation Army.
