๐Ÿพ Parvovirus Awareness: Early Treatment Saves Lives ๐Ÿพ

This sweet puppy was recently hospitalized and received intensive care for canine parvovirus (parvo). While parvo can be a frightening diagnosis, prompt veterinary treatment gives puppies the best chance for recovery.

What is Parvo?
Parvovirus is a highly contagious virus that primarily affects puppies and unvaccinated dogs. It attacks the intestinal tract and immune system, causing severe illness.

Common Signs of Parvo:
๐Ÿ”น Vomiting
๐Ÿ”น Severe diarrhea (often bloody)
๐Ÿ”น Loss of appetite
๐Ÿ”น Lethargy and weakness
๐Ÿ”น Dehydration
๐Ÿ”น Fever or low body temperature

Why Hospitalization is Important
Dogs with parvo often require:
๐Ÿ’‰ Intravenous fluids to combat dehydration
๐Ÿ’Š Medications to control nausea and prevent secondary infections
๐Ÿฉบ Close monitoring and supportive nursing care

Prevention is Key
The best protection against parvo is proper vaccination. Puppies should receive their vaccine series on schedule and avoid high-risk areas until fully vaccinated.

Our team is committed to giving this little one the care and support needed on the road to recovery. Please help us spread awareness about the importance of vaccinations and early treatment.

๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’• Wishing this brave puppy strength and healing as they continue their fight against parvo.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Wildfire Season Is Here โ€” Is Your Pet Prepared? ๐Ÿพ

As wildfire season approaches, now is the time to make an emergency plan for your pets. Smoke, evacuations, and fast-moving fires can happen with little warning.

Here are a few important ways to prepare:
โœ… Keep medications and medical records easily accessible
โœ… Make sure ID tags and microchip information are current
โœ… Prepare a pet emergency kit with food, water, carriers, and supplies
โœ… Know where your pets can stay if evacuation becomes necessary
โœ… Limit outdoor activity when air quality is poor

Our team is here to help keep your pets safe and healthy this wildfire season. If your pet needs refills, vaccines, or microchip updates, give us a call before an emergency happens.

Every wag, purr, and cuddle deserves a healthy future ๐Ÿพโค๏ธ

Spaying and neutering are some of the most important steps we can take to help pets live longer, healthier lives while also reducing pet overpopulation. These procedures can help prevent certain health issues, decrease unwanted behaviors, and ensure fewer animals end up without loving homes.

At our clinic, every patient is treated like family. From surgery and recovery to gentle comfort and monitoring, we make sure each pet is safe, loved, and well cared for every step of the way. Whether theyโ€™re waking up from surgery with cozy blankets or getting extra snuggles from our team, their comfort and wellbeing always come first.

Thank you for trusting us with your furry family members ๐Ÿฉบ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฑ
Together, weโ€™re creating healthier pets and happier homes.

Why Annual Health Exams Matter for your Pet - NCVMA 05/16/2026

๐Ÿพ Annual wellness exams are one of the most important ways to keep your pet healthy and happy throughout every stage of life. โค๏ธ

Even when pets seem perfectly healthy, many illnesses and conditions can develop silently without obvious signs at home. Regular checkups allow us to catch potential problems early โ€” often before they become more serious or costly to treat.

During your petโ€™s annual exam, we can:
โœ”๏ธ Monitor overall health and weight
โœ”๏ธ Check teeth, ears, skin, eyes, and joints
โœ”๏ธ Detect early signs of illness or pain
โœ”๏ธ Discuss nutrition and behavior
โœ”๏ธ Update vaccines and preventive care
โœ”๏ธ Recommend lab work when needed

Our pets age much faster than we do, which means a lot can change in just one year. Preventive care helps your furry family members stay healthier, longer. ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฑ

Schedule your petโ€™s wellness exam today and give them the best chance at a long, happy life! ๐Ÿฉบ๐Ÿพ
