Summer in the Story | Week 2: The Altar Comes First
Before the foundation was laid, the altar was rebuilt.
This Sunday in Ezra 3, we’ll discover a powerful truth: when God calls us to build something new, worship must come before work. The returning exiles had a massive task ahead of them—rebuilding the Temple—but before they picked up their tools, they gathered around the altar. Before construction, there was consecration. Before the foundation, there was worship.
Too often we rush into plans, projects, and dreams without first seeking God's presence. But lasting work begins when we put the altar first.
Join us as we explore what it means to place worship before work, surrender before striving, and God's presence before our own plans.
