Welcome home, Gators!

Our students have officially returned from Peru after an incredible journey of learning, service, faith, and cultural immersion.

The final days of the trip were spent exploring the rich history and traditions of Cusco before returning to Lima for one last day together. As they make their way back to Arizona, they bring home so much more than souvenirs, they return with new perspectives, lifelong friendships, unforgettable memories, and a deeper appreciation for the beauty of God’s people and creation.

Thank you to our faculty leaders, host families, community partners, and everyone who made this life changing experience possible. We are so proud of these world traveling Gators for embracing every opportunity to learn, serve, and grow while representing Xavier with kindness, curiosity, and compassion.

From classrooms to cultural landmarks to meaningful service, our students have experienced an unforgettable journey through Peru! 🇵🇪

Our first week was spent in Lima, where students attended La Inmaculada .jesuitas shadowing classes alongside their host sisters, immersing themselves in daily life, and creating lasting memories with their host families. They also explored the vibrant city of Lima, visiting museums and the historic Plaza de Armas.

The adventure continued with a trip south to Peru’s breathtaking sand dunes, where students had the opportunity to try sandboarding before making their way to one of the world’s most iconic destinations, Machu Picchu. The beauty and history of this incredible site left everyone in awe!

Perhaps the most meaningful experience came through service. Students volunteered at Fe y Alegría, a public school in one of Lima’s underserved communities. Alongside spending time with students in the classrooms, XCP’s very own Paola Asam Messina generously donated 100 dental kits! Our students helped teach mini lessons on the importance of dental health, sharing smiles, learning together, and witnessing the power of compassion in action.

Now, the group is continuing its journey in Cusco, where even more adventures and cultural experiences await! Stay tuned for more photos!

Today, we celebrate our nation’s independence and its 250th birthday!

As we celebrate with family and friends, let us also pause in gratitude for the blessings of liberty and remember all those who have served our nation with courage and selflessness. May we continue to be guided by faith, united in hope, and committed to serving one another with compassion and love.

What happens when creativity, collaboration, and community come together?

Today, Mr. Carlson’s Ceramics students showcased this incredible ceramic flower installation in Xavier’s main courtyard. As part of their study of collaborative art and installation art, students discovered how individual pieces can come together to create something far greater than the sum of their parts.

Each handmade flower represents the creativity and dedication of our students while serving as a colorful reminder of the beauty that can be created when a community works together.
