Mom Moment Monday 🥰 double piercing
•
•
For whatever reason, I had a rule that you had to be 10 to get your ears pierced. We surprised Harper at 9! Before Reese turned 8 we asked Harper if we could surprise her for her birthday and do a year earlier. We told her our rule seemed silly but we wouldn’t do it if it would bother Harp. She was smart and kind, she said, I am totally fine with it but when can I get my second done?! I love resourcefulness so we made a deal that summer going into 8th grade she could get it…

Well her determination didn’t stop there. She begged and pleaded her case all year and worked really hard to get amazing grades her first year in middle school. We rewarded her by letting her get the second piercing a year early!

She it got it done with one of her best friends and it was such a fun day! I don’t even have mine but seeing how cute hers looks… I may go back for mine 😉

We survived Maycember 🎉🙌🏻
•

A highlight of May was Sip & Shop event. It was a beautiful evening of shopping and giving back to my nonprofit 💜
•
•
Fun fact, I started a nonprofit with friends after I battled & beat cancer. We financially support people to get wigs and hair accessories who suffer from medically related hair loss.
Another fun fact, my sister and my mom are both part of the organization 💜

Chelsea’s Corner: you can say NO!
•
•
I hear so often advice especially on social media that makes me want to pull my hair out and actually leaves people with zero tangible solutions but just generalized ideas. Kids need to hear no. They can’t be content all the time. Don’t become the “yes man” for your kids. Set the limits, follow your gut, and help them navigate feelings of frustration, disappointment, etc instead of creating a world where they are content all the time. Do you agree?! Drop your thoughts below 👇🏻
Chelsea’s Corner 💕 sleep in own room
*Remember, you are the expert in your own family so do whatever makes the most sense for you! This is my opinion. If you want independence with sleep and independent sleepers, you must hold the boundary. Set your expectations and follow through. Have your words match your actions! It is important to show your kids that your word means something and your actions are consistent with your messaging!

Happy Mother’s Day 🥰 thankful to these two who still call me mama, still give me hugs in public, still make me belly laugh, still make me roll my eyes and smile big all at the same time. It is not lost on me the gift of being a mom. Sending love to all the moms, those who have lost theirs and those who are praying to become one. 💕
Funny Friday 🤣
