I showed you my vintage Putz houses I have picked up this year. They made a great addition to my display. I love looking at them at night when the light shines through the houses.

Does anyone else shop their stash of treasures when freshening up a room? I swear it is like Christmas morning when you find stuff. Why do I have three hotel desk bells? Because I only found three hotel desk bells. One has a Pat. Reg. Date Of 1893. The craftsmanship on them is amazing and one of the reasons I love vintage so much. Now where should I put them? .

I haven’t been out treasure hunting in a long time. Today I broke my dry spell. Saw an estate sale listing that had “Huge savings, digging and bundling” in the listing. What? Those are my favorite kind!! Out in the garage was the Xmas section. I didn’t see anything so I did what I do best, I sat on the garage floor and dug in the boxes under the table. is shaking her head as you read this. She has seen me in action. is another vintage enthusiast that will dig. I sat on the garage floor with my phone’s flashlight and dug out Milk glass Santa bulbs, a putz house, two sets of vintage bulbs in the original boxes, sugar coated bell shape bulbs, bottle brush trees and the cutest candle. Mr. DTJ came in the garage and was shaking his head and asked if I needed help. I love that man. He either loves me back or knows it would be faster to help me so we could leave faster. The moral of the story, when out treasure hunting, look high and low and don’t be afraid to dig.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year to be out looking for vintage treasures. It is the start of Vintage market season. The weather will be perfect to browse the aisles for the special item you have been dreaming about. It is never to early to start finding those one-of-a-kind presents for the holiday.

Went back to our favorite succulent farmer and got a few flats of beautiful plants. I love sharing my love of plants and gardening with my daughters. . Kate couldn’t make it so we did the next best thing. We FaceTimed her so she could pick out some plants also. I planted mine in thrifted pots I have picked up. When looking for planters think about what look you want. I look for ones that are vintage, match my decor or make me smile. I like a variety of shapes, sizes and colors to add interest.

Does size really matter? I was excited to find the vintage snowman stocking until I spotted the large stocking with the duck pattern; both are vintage, well made, are in great condition, knitted and have darling patterns. Which one would you choose?
