Spaniel Haven Rescue at Angels Saving Those In Need

Just a quick note, I had to move my daughter to South Carolina away to college this week and while I was there, I had some pain and went to the hospital and I have a blood clot and now I have to stay for two weeks until I can fly back. I’m still working on placing the dogs, but if I don’t get back to you right away, it’s because I’m trying to focus on her and getting better as well. The three dogs we brought down for Prescott are doing well and will be in quarantine for another week and then and we are still bringing in Peach and Sky. I need Foster for them as well. If you have messaged us your email and you’ve sent back an application, I will call next week to discuss placing the dogs.

We took in 3 Seven Month old cockers today from a situation in Prescott where they were exposed to Parvo. Yavapai Humane Trappers Animal Search and Rescue luckily found out about the situation and was able to get early medical attention to 11 puppies that had also been exposed. We are working along side of them to ensure the rest of the pack gets the medical attention they need. Once these 3 clear quarantine and are cleared by our vet, they will need fosters and/or adopters. Please message us if you are interested. This is Scarr and he is looking for a new home. He is a cocker spaniel-poodle mix. He is 5 years old. He is a really good boy and potty trained. Has so much energy to play. Once he warms up around you he will always bring you a toy for you to throw. Still needs progress when around other dogs/cats.

Our sweet Jayden went to be with her sisters last night at the Rainbow Bridge. Daddy always called her Darkside since she was all white with one big black spot on the side. We had just made it back in town and she seemed fine and we had kissed and snuggles and everything seemed normal and then we found her sound asleep a few hours later for the last time. She was one of the best and gave us an amazing 13 years. She lost her sister 2 years ago to cancer and then weeks later we found out she had cancer in her lymph nodes. She hung in another 2 years which was just enough time to be a big sister to the new puppies and teach them everything they needed to know about being part of our family. Jayden had been tired a long time, but she always was there for us even when she didn’t feel her best. She loved to chase squirrels and patiently wait for them even though they never came down. She was always looking to her daddy for directions because he trained her so they had a special bond. He was definitely a daddy’s girl! Countless trips on planes and cross country in the RV, she was always up for ride! She will be deeply missed but it gives us comfort that she is back with her littermate Jill and I am sure she is ankle biting Jill as Jill tries to chase the ball. Thank you sweet Jayden for your devotion and love you gave your family. You are now healed and running free in Heaven and we will be waiting to see you again! I am sure you will look over your pack from above like the amazing big sister you have always been! We love you so much and will miss you every day.

The same owner that surrendered the Fab Four is now looking to give us Grace’s sisters Peach and Sky, 3-4 years old. We are looking for fosters so we can take these additional 2 into rescue. Yago, Needs a foster and is also up for adoption!

So the Fab Four is doing great and all have been to the vet and no one has any major medical. Yago is up for adoption and also needing another foster since his has some traveling coming up. The other 3 fosters are falling in love and probably going to finalize adoption after vetting is all done. Yago’s foster was a temp foster and so we are looking for another foster to take over Monday or move to a potential adopter. Yago had a dental and is just waiting until next month to get neutered.

We are happy to report that the Fab Four made it to Phoenix yesterday! Hats off to an amazing team of transporters and fosters that have and will be caring for these babies! They will all receive vet care and a good groom and the last one came out of his crate this morning and is warming up. These 4 dogs are going to have an amazing life!

Today is the day and we just heard these 4 dogs are in route to meet our team!

Unfortunately, we had one of the four fosters have a family emergency and have to cancel at 2am. We need an emergency foster to please step up. Please message us if you are available to help save these babies!
