Homeownership strengthens families, neighborhoods, and communities.

This month, we celebrate the dreams achieved and the futures built through homeownership. Through education, financial coaching, and lending services, Trellis helps individuals and families prepare for one of life's most important investments.

Together, we're creating pathways to affordable homeownership across Arizona.

Today, we observe Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day. On June 19, 1865, enslaved Black Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally received news of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

At Trellis, we recognize that homeownership and financial empowerment are powerful pathways to building generational wealth and creating stronger, more vibrant communities. As we commemorate Juneteenth, we reaffirm our commitment to expanding access to education, resources, and opportunities that help families achieve their dreams of homeownership. Together, we continue building communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Let's use today to learn, reflect, and actively support the systems, resources, and organizations that close the wealth gap.

Trellis is proud to be part of the Phoenix community and celebrate at the Deer Valley Senior Services Resource Fair alongside fellow community partners who help make Phoenix a great place to live, work, and call home.

Recently, Trellis board and staff leadership came together for a half-day strategic planning retreat to discuss our future, strengthen our shared vision, and identify opportunities to expand our impact in the communities we serve.

Facilitated by Marcos Morales, the retreat encouraged thoughtful conversations about our priorities and the work ahead as we continue advancing affordable housing, homeownership, and community development across Arizona.

Thank you to Marcos for leading the session and to our board and staff for their commitment to our mission. We look forward to putting these ideas into action.

🏡 Join Trellis as we celebrate NeighborWorks America Week and a major milestone in the Garfield Neighborhood!

On June 3, we will host an Open House Celebration marking the completion of the first three homes in our 10-home infill development project. These homes represent new opportunities for families to achieve homeownership while helping strengthen one of Phoenix's historic neighborhoods.

Community members, partners, and supporters are invited to tour the homes, learn more about the project, and celebrate the power of neighborhood investment and collaboration.

Trellis staff will be available to answer questions about homeownership education, lending services, and real estate development programs.
