Audio Engineer Nick Baker takes us through an audio setup for a show still a little over a week away.
There is a reason we build it now instead of on site. Running the setup ahead of time means the gear is tested, the signal path is proven, and any problem gets solved here, in the shop, where there is room to solve it. By the time this rolls out, it will already be dialed in.
That is what preparation looks like when no one is watching.

Welcome to the team. Wade Diebold joins us as Account Executive, bringing more than 30 years in live event production.
Since 1991, he has worked nearly every side of this business, from video and technical operations to client management, logistics, and national event coordination. Through all of it, his approach has held steady. Listen first, figure out what the client really needs, then bring the right people and solutions together to make it happen.

Downtime means the trucks get worked on too. This week we were wiring updated dash cams and security systems from Motive into the fleet. Keeping the trucks road-ready before the next haul.
Fresh from a show we ran a couple of weeks ago, and this one meant a little more. It was the first time some of our new gear got to work in a live room.
First time on a show, but far from our first time operating it. That part happened back at the warehouse, where the crew ran the gear, learned it, and worked out every detail well ahead of load in. By the time it reached this stage, nothing about it was unfamiliar.

L-Acoustics came through the warehouse to take our team through the new gear firsthand.
There is a difference between reading the manual and learning a system from the people who built it. That is time well spent, and it is the kind of thing that shows up later, when it counts.

This is large-format L Series audio, and adding it to our inventory is a real step up in what we can put in a room. The best way to understand a system like this is to watch it go from the warehouse floor to a live stage, which is exactly what this video does.
