It sounds so ridiculous but it’s true. Who would think this is a good idea? Hmm maybe someone who profits from bringing in cheaper foreign beef and passing it off as US beef. (big meat packers)
Who isn’t profiting? The US produces who have to compete with that. The consumer is also not profiting, they don’t get the choice to support US producers or even know where their beef is from.
This is one of the big reasons why we started selling some of our beef direct to consumer.
