COVID-19 travel restrictions have had a devastating impact on business and tourism in the U.S.-Mexico-Canada border states. Arizona and its border communities have negatively been affected by the loss of Canadian tourism and their sales tax revenues have been decimated due to the lack of Mexican visitors. The Arizona Export District Council proposes the U.S. government and its counterparts must take action towards easing international border restrictions and allowing business and leisure travel to resume within North America.
