Save Nibbler

It’s been 5 years today and I still think about him all the time.

I’m grateful for all the good memories, the road trips, the friends we made and smiles we shared. He practically lived in my classroom, he loved the students, and we loved working at the university, too.

No matter where we went, we went together, and he brought others so much happiness.

We camped by rivers, under the stars, explored the Redwoods, we explored caves, beaches, and even saw eclipses together! You might not know it, but he was a hero, too - an actual hero that saved at least two cats’ lives.

When people met him, they would light up and smile like they were without a care in the world - like they were young again.

Nibbler brought me, my family and friends so much joy and comfort. I am happy for the 18 years we got to spend with each other. I hope he felt the same.

I have so many stories…but mostly I remember him like this: Always smiling, always wagging, and his floppy ears bounced with every step he took.

The universe was a better place with you in it, Nibbler. Daddy misses you, dear friend 🥰
