9/11 is a pivotal day in American History, this is one thing that is etched in our memory forever. We Collective experienced grief, heartache, and terror. But we came together, prevailed, overcame, and more importantly UNITED in the aftermath. I have never felt more united and ingrained in this country then after that day. This type of unity is what I will bring to our City Council, a sense of community, safety, equality, and equity. Unity you can believe in again.

Losing my mother was one of the hardest times of my life. It impacts me to this day. My heart goes out to Mayor Kate and her family. I hope they get the time and privacy they need, to feel, grieve and move through this loss.
