I am teaming up with two wonderful local Latina entrepreneurs, Sunshine Grey Skies and The Hippie Latina, to collect donations this month to support members of our community at A New Leaf at the Surprise, AZ location.

A New Leaf is a center that provides assistance to vulnerable members of our community. They help families, children and adults that are experiencing hardships by providing a number of resources to help them thrive and provide a brighter future.

In March, we celebrated Women's History month and we're continuing our celebration by providing support to women that are overcoming hardships and are seeking a second chance at life. We'll be collecting donations and putting together "welcome baskets" for women seeking help at A New Leaf.

Most of these women had to immediately evacuate their homes due to life threatening situations and had to leave all their belongings behind, thus coming to the center without anything to call their own. Things that we take for granted on a daily such as a hairbrush or a towel, are things that these women no longer have in their possession.

All details can be found on our flyer. Donations can be dropped off at The Hippie Latina in downtown Glendale starting today 04/02 and will be accepted until 04/26.

If you're unable to drop off items, feel free to contact me and we can arrange a meeting for pickup!

Our first Clothing Swap and Styling Workshop was a HUGE success!

We got to go "shopping", meet fellow community members, reflected on body positivity and self-worth, and had a mini fashion show!!

Thank you all that attended and those that helped set-up/clean up!
