This event comes to us from a local high school senior! They're hoping to connect with others passionate about ending period poverty and egage in a panel to learn skills towards erasing period poverty though service, education, and legislation.

May 18 in Fellowship Hall! Also seeking menstruation hygiene items ❣❣❣

Here are four ways that the Black Mamas Matter Alliance calls on policymakers to invest in and honor Black women and birthing people’s leadership:
Compile, archive, and showcase global histories and traditions of Black midwifery and birth work, reproductive justice activism, and community care models.

Develop national standards for maternal, sexual, and reproductive health that are based on the traditions, teachings, and practices of the Black maternal, reproductive, and perinatal workforce.

Develop curricula that infuse Black feminist frameworks and culturally congruent teachings and practices

Apply Black feminist praxes to policy and program development, implementation, and analysis at every level of government.
