Today, I presented the Peruvian "World Traveling Trunk" at Parkway Central Library. Children and families enjoyed this bilingual/bicultural experience! We stamped our passports and flew to Lima and Cusco. The audience met "Inti" my pet llama. "Inti" is a Quechua word that means sun. We used our imagination to cross mountains and trees. We took an airplane, a train, a bus and walk to arrive to the citadel of Machu Picchu in which I began reading bilingual Spanish/English stories.
