We are thrilled to share that Philadelphia Stories Non-Fiction Board Member, Deborah Louise Off, has published her memoir, "Apples of Gold in Settings of Silver." It is available for purchase at the link below: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0G2GL9PLN
Deborah Louise Off is a wife, mother of five, and proud grandmother of eight. She earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Writing degrees from Rowan University after twenty years of traveling to night classes. Now a high school substitute teacher, she also serves on the editorial board of Philadelphia Stories Magazine and is a former adjunct professor. Deborah loves traveling with her husband, Bill, especially to the national parks of the United States and Canada. At home, she enjoys playing the piano and writing short stories that celebrate the wonders in everyday life.

An exciting PS Community Update – On Sunday, December 7th, former PS contributor, F.X. Baird, will be presenting his new book of poems "A Spy in the House of Men", with a special signing, reading and Q&A!

Where: Fergie’s Pub, 1214 Sansom Street, Philadelphia, PA
F. X. Baird is the author of Painting with my Father (Finishing Line Press) https://www.goodreads.com/.../52398235-painting-with-my... and Square Peg, Round Hole (Moonstone Press)
https://moonstone-arts-center.square.site/.../baird-f.../303 . He is a Pushcart nominee. His poems and essays have appeared in the Schuylkill Valley Journal, the e-zine Paper Dragon, and Philadelphia Stories and many anthologies. He conducted a poetry workshop with incarcerated individuals from 2016 until 2025 at the Pennsylvania State Correctional Institution (SCI) Graterford/Phoenix and the poems of workshop participants have been published in the Schuylkill Valley Journal and Drexel University’s Paper Dragon. He is currently seeking an agent for his historical novel, "Twin."
