In life we learn, you are either apart of history or you are watching history take place before your very eyes.

Dr. Mae Jemison definitely defied the odds of being the First Black Women to travel into space when serving as a Mission Specialist aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavor. Jemison, now 65 years of age, has accomplished many accolades in her time, including which of becoming a medical doctor.

Dr. Mae Jemison is a renowned philanthropist whom has started her own organization after leaving NASA in 1993. Jemison founded the Jemison Group, Inc. Jemison is an advocate for improving healthcare in Africa and advancing technology in under develop countries.

Although Dr. Mae Jemison has never married, she has been completely committed to changing the history for Black Women, Men, and children. Jemison is actively working with the US Goverment on a project that will ensure human space travel to another Star will be possible in the next 100 years.

Thank you to Dr. Mae Jemison for her commitment to the Black & Brown community. Dr. Jemison has actively and continuously proved to the Black & Brown community that anything is possible if you put the work in and focus.
