A Thousand Trees, Countless Lessons 🌱

Brianne Hoffer, Business Architect, recently represented our Sustainability Committee as part of the Tokio Marine Green Volunteers program in Sabah, Malaysia.

Alongside colleagues from around the world, she helped plant 1,000 mangrove trees, contributing to a 100-year commitment to restoring and protecting ecosystems across Asia. The experience went far beyond tree planting. We witnessed the environmental challenges facing the region, learned from families living sustainably off the forest, and saw firsthand how local actions can create lasting impact. She returned home with new friendships, a deeper appreciation for global sustainability efforts, and a renewed sense of purpose. A truly unforgettable experience. 🌎💚

Reminder! Effective January 1, 2027, the Connecticut minimum wage will increase to $17.48/hour. This impacts the calculation of the CT PFML weekly benefit and the new maximum benefit will be $1,048.80 (60x minimum wage).

Employers should review these changes and understand how they may impact benefit calculations for employees taking leave in 2027. If you have questions about CT PFML or other state leave programs, please contact your Reliance Matrix representative.
