Our monthly happy hour tomorrow will be bittersweet. We’ll gather as friends and neighbors to laugh chat but also to say farewell to a The OFFICIAL Manayunk, Philadelphia mainstay, Jake & Cooper’s Bar. As the weather turns from false fall into authentic autumn, we hope to see you at a coffee break, book or movie discussion, or at one of our many educational events coming up.

🏗️ Discover the history of Pencoyd Iron Works!
Take a step back in time on Wednesday, September 2 for A Visit to the Iron Works at Pencoyd Landing.
Learn about the fascinating history of the Pencoyd Iron Works, whose steel was used for the Niagara Falls Bridge, the Chicago “L,” and the main building of the Philadelphia Centennial.
The program includes a presentation by Stephen Gibson, Chief Architect of the Penn Real Estate Group, followed by a tour of the hotel, Pump House event space, and former Iron Works office.
