Hey Termite TV friends! If you're staying in Philly this weekend, come do creative artsy stuff with us! It's a good way to explore a hands-on, offline activity and connect with community. Use the link to RSVP!
Sam Jacona brings us a custom workshop: Watercolor Undercover - Saturday, May 23, 11AM - 2PM at Termite TV Studio
With Watercolor Undercover, we can connect to the sense of playfulness and spontaneity with TermiteTV. This is a workshop that creates a way to play with multiple different materials to use the spontaneous effect of water and the control of crayons or oil pastels to uncover something the artists likes to express. With that said, we are mending the two worlds of water and wax in a way that is similar to oil and water. Finding a way to mend them into a new way to create, design, story-tell.
The goal of this workshop is to show how different mediums can work together. Using oil pastels or crayons to make shapes and uncover them with watercolor. Using a predictable medium with a more unpredictable one. Materials will be provided and you're also welcome to bring your own.

In our Fungus Garden workshop series we introduce ideas from different art forms to encourage interdisciplinary media experimentation. Media artists are able to incorporate new art forms into their practice and get inspiration for exploration and artistic expression.

"To mend an emotion is to practice the art of staying. It is the quiet, repetitive work of choosing to bridge the gap between where we are and where the light is," says master .art describing this piece (swipe left!), "I'm using scrap collage paper, fabric, beads, magazines, and type. In this piece, I picked someone who didn't want to get out of bed. But the sun, sunbeams and dreaming change my mood. I mended my emotions."
Your turn! Santé is hosting a special, one-time only, photo embroidery workshop on April 18 at Termite TV at . You are invited! We would love to see you!
