Charles Santore Library

Happy Summer, folks! We would love to have you and yours join us here at Charles Santore Library in July for our programs, activities, and - of course - to browse around and select a good book (or books)! 📚 thank you for your continued support, and we hope to see you throughout the summertime.

Hello! We’re looking forward to June and the official start of Summer! The Santore Library staff would love our patrons and folks from around the neighborhood to join us for a terrific month of programming. We always hope to provide something fun for everyone! Have a great month and we hope to see you sometime soon at Santore.

Hi! We are looking forward to seeing many of you at Charles Santore Library next month! Here are the calendar and descriptions of the various program offerings for the month of May. Thank you so much for continuing to support us!

We are closed through April 1st due to heating issues.

We apologize for the inconvenience.
The dropbox is closed. Please return library material to your nearest location.

Available holds will be held at the branch through April 11th.

We need 1 extra day, but we will re-open on Wednesday, February 18th! Just in time for Ms. Lindsay’s storytimes at 10:15am and 11am.

We can’t wait to see our patrons again!

Santore Library’s closure has been extended through February 17th, 2026 to allow additional time to complete necessary building work and ensure the building is safe and ready for the community. We appreciate your patience as we finish these improvements.

While we are still closed, you can:

o Visit nearby branches: South Philadelphia, Independence, and Whitman 🏫

o Access free digital resources 24/7 on the Free Library website 💻

📞For any questions or concerns, call our free help line at 1-833-TALK-FLP (1-833-825-5357). Thank you for your patience as we work to restore full service.

Thank you all! Be well, be safe, and stay warm!
