Self advertised as the only Japanese restaurant “owned and operated by Native Japanese” in Bucks, has always been one of my favorite places. Not fancy, and always quirky, it reminds me of restaurants when I was stationed in Japan. The food is amazing and the place is decorated gaudy (good thing) anime decor and I highly recommend stopping!
Just a single block north of the Northeast (so close) is the areas newest beer garden at . We got a message from a follower about it and decided to stop by. Loved it because there were plenty of kids playing and the weather was gorgeous this weekend! Have you been yet?
Drive by almost everyday and was finally able to stop by right at Frankford and Harbison. Was invited by last week and have to say I love the inside decor! I feel like this location has had several businesses so rooting for this one. Got a couple different platters including a beef and chicken and lamb and chicken. Have to say the beef platter was delicious my favorite. The burgers were also delicious and a great option if you’re not getting a rice platter!🍗.

Finally got to stop by in South. Really pumped to see the brick and mortar open up (I first had Pretzel Day at a Port Richmond flea market). Everything was excellent and grabbed a couple bagels to make breakfast sandwiches. Not in the Northeast but owned by a home grown Northeaster. Definitely check it out if you’re down that way!🥨.

Another festival down (there are so many this weekend!). Stopped by the Romanian festival in Elkins Park today. It is still going on tomorrow if you want to grab some Romanian food and wine!
Stopped by this past week and absolutely love how everything looks inside. Walking up I was greeted by the delicious smell of the smoker going outside full of brisket. The bar area has also significantly expanded its options to include some home brewed selections. I grabbed a brisket arepa (the arepas are made in-house and so amazing) and deliciously cheesy Mac and cheese. I got a couple mixed drinks including a Gritty (though it didn’t help the Flyers win). Have you been by yet?🥩.

Was invited back down to .official across from the Reading Terminal. I absolutely love this place. I’ve been obsessed since seeing a video of the Omurice (the egg and rice in the video) forever ago on instagram. I also grabbed a Yingyang bowl with two types of ramen which was absolutely excellent and I could try more. I also love the honey combed presentation of the appetizers. Have you been yet?🥟.

never disappoints. Stopped by on Friday to grab a pie and it was absolutely outstanding. Never disappoints and it’s always perfectly crunchy.🍕.
