Greetings, Everybody! I am proud to announce the creation of Rudaki Language Academy. If there is one Sogdian silver lining to the pandemic it is the paradox that during our greatest moment of social isolation, innovative online communication platforms have inadvertently fostered unparalleled social connectivity. Amidst this global health crisis, the boundaries of work and education have been redrawn, fostering a more cohesive world citizenry despite nationwide quarantines.

By coordinating with the best instructors abroad and using the latest technology, we have crafted a world-class program offered at the lowest class-hour rate available. Rudaki Language Academy is specifically designed for the study of the Persian language family. In this inaugural Fall 2021 session, we are delighted to offer introductory levels of Farsi and Tajiki, with Dari set for Spring, 2022.

This effort has been the fruit of dedicating most of my adult life to learning foreign languages. Stemming from a wealth of wildly inspiring and humbling experiences while living along the Silk Road, I continue to publicly advocate for better US diplomatic and cultural relations with the Muslim World. Rudaki Language Academy actively contributes to this mission by promoting lasting and fruitful cultural exchanges.

Our academy, chartered as a public benefit organization, will donate 10% of all tuition toward a truly innovative social outreach campaign. To apply to study in the UK or US, required English proficiency exams from official state-run agencies present a tall paywall for aspiring international students. This is compounded in countries like Tajikistan, which may not offer such exams domestically. Our donations will directly cover all costs for Tajik students of merit and financial need to take these exams thereby unlocking a world of possibilities for international education.

We believe that the world is at its best when barriers are broken. At a time when Persian-speaking countries are increasingly important on the international stage, Rudaki Language Academy is honored to offer this exciting opportunity and expose the rich historical heritage and cultural tradition of this region to the broader world.
