This FRIDAY 10/11 — “Cloak (2024 Mix)” drops everywhere.

“Cloak” was originally recorded and released back in May 2017 and I thought it’d be cool to dig up some photos from that era to share here.

This 2024 Mix has a completely different vibe from the original. While the lo-fi, dreamy atmosphere of the 2017 version still holds up, the 2024 Mix feels more like something DAODA would’ve recorded in a studio (part of a larger, cohesive project).

My goal with these 2024 Mixes is to stay true to the original tracks while giving them a bit of a facelift. All the original vocals and instrumentals are untouched, except for the improved drum samples. It’s crazy to see how far technology has come over the years.

Exciting news: “Feel For You (2024 Mix)” is available everywhere this FRIDAY 5/3! A release date for the ‘2024 Mixes’ EP is planned later this year & I’ll be releasing singles of each track along the way 🤙

In addition to old music being remixed & remastered, there’s an EP of NEW music in the works. The aim is to release new music this Fall 2024.

I’ve been working on remixing and remastering previously released songs for the past few months. As of this moment, 3 of the 6 songs have been completed. Instead of sitting on them, I’ve decided to put them out as singles & package them together into an EP once all songs are completed.

In some ways, the 2024 Mixes feel like completely new songs. The process has been a labor of love and I’m really happy with how the songs have turned out so far. I hope you will be too!

In between the remixing & mastering of my back catalog, I’ve been working on new music and plan to release an official EP as soon as possible. This will make it the first non-single project for DAODA, but more to come on that soon.

To all of the listeners and people who have supported this project over the years, I am eternally grateful. It’s people like you that keep me going 🙏



UPDATE: This image was taken around the same time "Feel For You" came out (Summer 2014). I can't believe we're coming up on 10 years next year. It's crazy how time flies...

I prefer to look forward musically and release new music, but a new opportunity has presented itself and it has me digging through the archives. ��I'm currently working on Remastering & Remixing some previously released songs from my catalog.

I'm very self aware that remixing the original releases of tracks can be a slippery slope & often takes away from the original vibe of the record, but I'm currently remixing "Is It True" and I love the direction it's going.
