A mudroom that doesn’t feel like a mudroom. 🌿

One of the biggest challenges in this historic home was creating a space that could handle the realities of daily life without feeling overly utilitarian. The family’s main entry point also needed to function as a welcoming place to gather, dine, and connect.

Custom cabinetry conceals everyday essentials, while a green velvet banquette and playful details soften the room and make it feel inviting. The result is a space that works harder than ever - but feels calmer, lighter, and infinitely more chic.

From forgotten hallway to favorite gathering spot. 🌿🍸
A clever reimagining of a dark corridor allowed us to remove an ancient elevator and transform the space into a vibrant wet bar that’s now the central hub of the home.
Designed as a fully immersive study in green, the space layers rich grasscloth walls, striking quartzite countertops, and coordinating green cabinetry to create a tonal experience that feels both colorful and elevated.
Whether mixing a cocktail or gathering before dinner, this once-overlooked passageway has become the home’s central hub for connection and conversation.

Cheers to leisurely Sunday brunches at home!
Ours made more cozy by a custom, locally made banquette with spring cushion seat and softly sloped back for ultimate elegance and comfort. Because coffee tastes better when sipped in style 💚☕️

✨New on the Blog! The historic Chestnut Hill Promenade; where historic architecture meets layered textures, bold personality, and a thoughtfully reworked floor plan.

This project was never about making the kitchen bigger - it was about making it smarter, prettier, and more connected to the way this family actually lives. By reworking the floor plan (goodbye elevator 👋), relocating the basement stairs, and layering in soft materials, custom details, and a touch of playful irreverence, we transformed this once-clunky space into the glamorous, functional heart of the home.

SCALE. Scale of the heart of everything we do. The width, height and proportion of wall moldings. The pairing of large, medium and petite patterns. Balancing delicacy, cushiness, and handsome lines of furniture frames. Light fixture size, height and positions to provide task, vibe and general illumination.
The perfect proportions of a bespoke dog crate built into a corner of a family room to look like it’s always been there and also be comfy.
Sometimes an idea is very pretty, but just an absolute scale fail. We are here to help you avoid that.
PS- the dog crate was a huge hit!
