This Mother’s Day, we honor Marie “Meechie” Scott a mother, advocate, and now a valued member of team.

After spending more than 50 years incarcerated, Meechie came home with purpose. Today, she works in our office, using her lived experience to support others impacted by incarceration and advocate for change.

Her story reminds us that healing is possible, purpose does not expire, and people deserve the opportunity to rebuild.

Today, we honor Meechie and every mother impacted by incarceration, mothers who loved through letters, phone calls, visits, and hope.
