Hi Folks, for those interested about supporting ongoing mutual aid efforts in the southwest, we always recommend to donate directly directly to mutual aid groups doing the work in the region. Midway through this article it gives a list of groups with their contact info if you wanted to throw some money their way!

NPFNB’s Reid Desert talks a bit in this podcast about mutual aid projects in Philly, about 9 minutes in. Basically “society sucks a lot so people are doing things”, which is pretty much MA in a boiled nutshell.
Community fridges are a fresh form of a long Philly tradition The community fridges popping up during COVID-19 are an example of something called "mutual aid," which is a tradition in Philadelphia stretching back more than a century.

We were out there with the demonstrations to shut down the courts early yesterday AM. First we were harassed and threatened by the totally miserable Squidward lookalike Lieutenant O’Leary when we first arrived which made things difficult briefly. F**k that guy. We met up with West Philly Food Not Bombs and had sandwiches, frittata, a watermelon grown in a graveyard, coffee and cucumber water. A major Karen was causing problems for no reason at all but the protestors were not hearing it and she went on her hateful sad way to, well, nobody cares. The protestors blocked all the doors for hours until the riot cops showed up and started arresting people. Everyone is out and ok now, but evictions are ongoing. Keep up the pressure!

Food Not Bombs/NoDudes bike ride is cancelled today due to covid concerns.
All current NPFNB members that have been in close proximity to one another are getting tested to make sure it’s safe to continue functioning on Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday.
We also want to assure everyone that we are being responsible when preparing meals for others and have been been getting tested regularly. Stay well and be safe everybody!
