EASY CONTAINER PLANTING TIPS….
There’s a simple way to plant your containers with no mess and accuracy. Always remember your thriller, filler, and spiller.
Heat and drought tolerant plants are very import too.

PEONY SEASON 💐
Once they bloom, they don’t last long. They smell incredible, and should be in everybody’s garden in my opinion.
If you want your peony to be loaded with blooms, you gotta follow a few different steps.
-find a sturdy circular trellis to hold up the stems and heavy blooms
-if you wanna bring them inside to present in a vase, always cut the stem just as the bud is opening up, not when the flower is completely open. They will last longer and you won't bring ants inside after easily knocking them off the buds.
-only cut a third of the buds on the plant. Leave the rest for fuel for next year‘s flowers.
-once the petals fall, cut the stem with the flower before it seeds.
-do not cut back the foliage until it turns brown in the fall, the fuel needs to go back into the root system for next year

WEIRD CRAVING….
I only had two thin mint Girl Scout cookies this season and my favorite is what used to be called Samoa, Carmel delight. I figured I would make my own Samoa cookie cake. Just find your favorite chocolate cake recipe, homemade of course, whip up some buttercream frosting, toast some sweetened coconut, and then drizzle with caramel and chocolate sauce.
