Kontex, founded in 1934, has been making some of the most ambitious and innovative towels on the market from the breezy island town of Imabari. Including our most popular towel, the Lattice Towel.

Working on vintage looms, the craftsmanship that goes into each product makes their towels recognized around the globe. See how Kontex towels are made: https://directory.morihata.com/posts/a-peek-inside-the-kontex-towel-factory

A weave mastered and passed down by the craftspeople of Imabari, the Kontex Lattice line is rooted in traditional towel-making methods and the attention to detail of Kontex's towel makers.

Lattice towels, also referred to as the waffle weave towel, have a distinctive pocket fabrication. This textured weaving method increases the towel's surface area, making it ultra absorbent while allowing water to pass through and dry efficiently.

Soft to the touch and elegantly crafted, both the Lattice Towel and Lattice Linen Towel have earned their place as a Morihata favorite. Shop the Lattice and Lattice Linen towels on our website.
