✨ Starbucks jumped on the protein trend with their new protein coffees, 20–35 g protein in a grande! But are they actually a good choice?
Here’s what you should know:
☕ Protein source = whey isolate (not dairy-free)
🍬 Sugar ranges from ~10 g (no-sugar latte, with sucralose) to 25–30 g (classic + cold foam)
🥛 Fat = ~5 g in lattes vs. up to 25 g (mostly saturated) in cold foam
🍽️ Works best with a balanced breakfast (fiber + healthy fats)
👉 Bottom line: They’re a convenient protein boost, but not a “complete meal” on their own.
