The Draper Associates Scouting Program is currently recruiting its next cohort of Scouts this year. Founded in 1985 by the global venture capitalist Tim Draper, whose most prominent investments include Baidu, Hotmail, Skype, Tesla, AngelList, SpaceX, DocuSign, Coinbase, Robinhood, Twitch.tv, and Cruise Automation, the firm invests out of a $190 million fund in pre-seed through Series A start-up companies across a range of industries.
In this program, Scouts identify and meet with student-run startups and will invest in a handful of the most promising companies throughout the year. This program offers an incredible opportunity to learn more about the venture capital industry and start-up ecosystem and to scout for one of the most prominent venture capitalists in the world. This opportunity should be of particular interest to students interested in future opportunities in finance, start-ups, or technology in general. We intend the time commitment for this to be between 3 - 5 hours each week.
