As I started reading for what to post on this topic..I learnt something new.. the word FAST FASHION.. I am shocked to know how much damage is being done here.. Common people like us will not agree to what I am about to say... But yes.. this is true..
Fast fashion can be defined as cheap, trendy clothing, that samples ideas from the catwalk or celebrity culture and turns them into garments in high street stores at breakneck speed to meet consumer demand. The idea is to get the newest styles on the market as fast as possible, so shoppers can snap them up while they are still at the height of their popularity, and then, sadly, discard them after a few wears. It plays into the idea that outfit repeating is a fashion faux pas, and that if you want to stay relevant, you have to sport the latest looks as they happen. It forms a key part of the toxic system of overproduction and consumption that has made fashion one of the largest polluters in the world.
This being said.. I would like you all to think twice before you buy a piece of clothing.. How many wears will I get out of this?
To combat this issue, Lucy Siegle and Livia Firth created the to encourage consumers to get the most out of their clothes.
The means that if you cannot see yourself wearing a garment at least 30 different times, it’s likely not a worthy purchase.
Similarly, Roberta Lee, a sustainable stylist, reminds her clients of the power of five.
‘The power of five’ is meant to discourage against buying clothes that you cannot style with at least five things in your wardrobe.

Another big problem is cosmetics testing on animal.
Are humans morally more important than all animals? Is there a sliding scale with humans at the top and the simplest animals at the bottom? Or are humans and animals morally equal?
Even if the tests are not painful there are many factors other than the experiment itself that can have an effect, including conditions during breeding, transport, housing, handling and restraint.
The cost to the animals does not justify the research, vanity is not worth innocent lives.

It all started with cutting trees to just keep ourselves warm, cook food to stay alive, burn fire to stay protected.. humans depended on nature... It was a balanced circle of life..
BUT.. now it has become a selfish act of using natural assets to our benefits and giving nothing but all kind of pollution and plastic back...

these old beauties get dumped.. many more electronic scrap gets discarded in tons..
