The Delaware County Department of Military and Veterans Affairs invites the community to join us in commemorating the 251st Birthday of the United States Army at a special Flag Raising Ceremony honoring the legacy, service, and sacrifice of our Soldiers.

The ceremony will include:
• Official Army Flag Raising
• Remarks from County Officials
• Recognition of Army Veterans
• Community gathering in honor of those who have served

Veterans, military families, community leaders, and residents are all encouraged to attend as we recognize 251 years of Army service to our nation.

We are encouraging all veterans, families, and supporters to show up and be part of this important day.

This is more than an event. It’s an opportunity to directly support veteran-serving organizations. Proceeds fund programs and activities at the Delaware County Veterans Memorial, helping preserve the legacy and support those who served.

The DLA plays a critical role in supporting our military services and allies through logistics, acquisition, and technical expertise. This guided tour offers a rare opportunity to see this mission in action.

At the Philadelphia Vietnam Veterans Memorial, we gathered to reflect on the service, sacrifice, and resilience of those who answered the call during a defining time in our nation’s history.
More than 58,000 Americans gave their lives in Vietnam. Yesterday was not only a moment of remembrance, but also a moment to say what should have always been said:

Welcome home.
