The homeowner contacted us with one major complaint — **the house was extremely cold.**

When we opened the exterior, we found the reason: the existing brick wall had virtually **no exterior insulation system**.

This project wasn’t just about installing new siding. We rebuilt the exterior wall to significantly improve insulation, weather protection, and the overall performance of the home.

Our crew:

🧱 Added **mineral wool exterior insulation** between the framing
🟢 Installed **ZIP System Green Wall sheathing**
💧 Properly integrated the wall with new weather-resistant details and flashing

But we didn’t stop with the walls.

The existing chimney was no longer needed, so we **completely removed it**, closed and rebuilt the roof opening, and replaced the old roofing with new **GAF Timberline HDZ shingles in Fox Hollow Gray**.

The result is much more than a cosmetic transformation.

The home now has **multiple layers of exterior insulation**, a new protected wall assembly, premium insulated siding, and a new roofing system — all designed to help keep the home warmer in winter, cooler in summer, and better protected from the weather.

This roof had an older modified bitumen system with a problem area around the chimney. Once we opened it up, we found what you often can’t see from the surface — deteriorated and rotten wood underneath the roofing system.

Instead of simply patching over the problem, our crew opened the damaged area and rebuilt it properly.
