Steven Siegel will be at Outlook Leadership by Informa next month and is looking forward to connecting with retail leaders! Most of the retailers we’ve talked to in the last few months are currently figuring out how to scale digital revenue while protecting their margins and reducing additional work for their store teams.
If you’re reviewing your technology roadmap or looking for ways to run your digital channels more efficiently, Steve would love to meet between sessions.

Foodservice is one of the biggest growth opportunities in convenience retail right now. Steve Siegel will be representing Lula Commerce at the CSP Foodservice Forum next week in Schaumburg, Illinois. The event brings together convenience foodservice leaders to work through what is driving prepared food programs, from menu strategy to the operations behind them.
As more retailers build out prepared food, getting those menus online and ordering-ready across both delivery marketplaces and first-party storefronts is where a lot of the revenue opportunity sits. We always enjoy talking to operators who are thinking seriously about foodservice and digital ordering together.
If you are going to be at the forum and want to talk through digital ordering for your foodservice program, comment below!
Loyalty is on every brand's roadmap for 2026, but it is easy to spend a fortune chasing the app and miss what actually drives results. On our recent Commerce Corner episode, Peter Rasmussen, Founder and CEO of Convenience and Energy Advisors, reframes what a loyalty program really is.
Peter walks through the questions that matter and explains that the real value is the customer data you collect and how you use it. Data shows that loyalty members spend 18% to 30% more, and that lift runs even higher for brands that are heavy on to***co. The app matters, but the data is what pays off.

We are honored to share that Lula Commerce has been named Technology Startup of the Year at the 34th Annual PACT Ecosystem Awards. 🎉
The Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT), recognized this year's winners on May 19 for the work they are doing to advance technology and innovation across the Greater Philadelphia region.
Lula started by going store to store in Philadelphia, helping local convenience retailers get online for the first time. Today we support more than 2,000 retail locations across 44 states, and the goal is still the same. We want independent and regional operators to have the same digital tools the largest chains have, without the cost or the complexity.
Thank you to PACT for the recognition, to our team for the work behind it, and most of all to the retailers who trust us to help grow their business online.

Banking apps are quietly turning into a loyalty layer in fuel retail, and it is happening faster than most operators realize. On our recent Commerce Corner episode, Peter Rasmussen, Founder and CEO of Convenience and Energy Advisors, explains what that means for c-stores.
Chime is now the largest digital bank in the country at roughly 25 million users, and it has started running fuel and QSR offers right inside the app. A customer can claim discounts on fuel and other items but only if they pay with their Chime card. That closed loop builds loyalty that sits outside your own brand. Peter's advice to operators is to decide now whether they want to work alongside platforms like this or risk being left out of the conversation.

In today’s episode of the Commerce Corner podcast, Peter Rasmussen, Founder and CEO of Convenience and Energy Advisors shares why food service has become a survival question for c-store operators.
Convenience stores still have a real advantage when fuel prices spike. People need to fill their tanks and a c-store with a competitive food offer becomes more compelling than a QSR. Peter references that combustible cigarette declines are not being offset by lower frequency v**e and OTP purchases, and retailers need to look elsewhere for growth or risk a potential slow death.
