National Lighthouse Day
Observed annually on August 7th, National Lighthouse Day honors the beacon of light that for hundreds of years symbolized safety and security for ships and boats at sea. At one time, the beacon of light could be found at almost all of America's shorelines.🌊
In everything we do, The Lighthouse at Riverside Church seeks to be a place of safety and security for those being tossed around by the stormy seas of life. ⛴️
The actual Lighthouse which sits riverside in our bay is no longer operational, but we, as His followers, have taken up the charge to let our Light, who is Jesus shining in and through us, continue to shinie and to lead people to the safe harbor of His Amazing and Unsinkable Love. 🔦💛
