JOHN T. SEVERE
1951 - 2026
John T. Severe of Stillwater, Oklahoma, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 6, 2026. John was born in Perry, Oklahoma on November 17, 1951 to the late Otto and Irma Nida Severe.
John was raised in Perry, Oklahoma, where he cherished his childhood friends and memories. During high school, John wrestled and was the drum major for the Perry High School marching band. After graduating from Perry High School in 1970, John attended Oklahoma State University, where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity and developed lifelong friendships. In 1974, John graduated from OSU with a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Law. After OSU, John attended Oklahoma City University and earned his Juris Doctorate degree. While attending OCU, he was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity and graduated 6th overall of 169 in his graduating class.

JIMMIE NEIL ALSTROM
1961 - 2026
Jimmie Neil Alstrom, 65, of Perry, Oklahoma, died on May 8, 2026, in Tulsa. He was born on January 10, 1961, in Abilene, Kansas, the son of Jimmie and Patricia (Tate) Alstrom.
Jimmie graduated from Abilene High School in 1979. He worked as a construction supervisor and homebuilder. He served as a volunteer firefighter with the Perry Fire Department and thoroughly enjoyed fishing and hunting in “God’s Country” surrounding Perry.
Preceding Jimmie in passing were his parents; stepfather, Raymond Pilchiek; and his brother, Andrew “Andy” Alstrom.

LEDA “YVONNE” STITES
1944 - 2026
Leda “Yvonne” Stites, age 82, of Morrison, Oklahoma, peacefully joined her Heavenly Father on April 22, 2026.
She was the daughter of Lebern Henry Vett and Ruby Mavis Chapman Veit. Yvonne was born in Pawnee, Oklahoma on April 10, 1944.
Yvonne spent her childhood in Morrison, Oklahoma and attended Morrison Public Schools. Yvonne’s dad, Lebern, was overseas serving World War Il when she was born. He was allowed leave for two days in the states, returned to the service, and came home when she was one year old.
Yvonne loved spending her summers visiting her grandparents, John end Lennie Chapman, in Perry and Pawnee, traveling by train as her granddad worked for the railroad.
