Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue - Perry, OK

Time for another post from Shelia's Craft Corner! We thank Linda Marshall Frazier for creating this diamond art picture of a donkey and gifting it to us.

Here is a shot of our senior donkeys having breakfast. They lined themselves up "chris cross applesauce"!

If anyone asks me why we love donkeys so much - it's just because of moments like this! If I knew how, I would hashtag donkeyhappiness.

Angelica and Loki take a little nap in the dust on a sunny day.

Shelia's Craft Corner has been at it again! She created (with the help of the creative writing group at the Sunflower Perry Press) Christmas ornaments with the names of every donkey adopted at our Perry satellite. She will share her fully decorated donkey tree in December.

What a wonderful surprise! A local rancher came by this morning and dropped off two large round bales, which will easily feed the donkeys at our satellite for a month or two. Did you know the PVDR main ranch in San Angelo, TX goes through 18 of these in ONE DAY? Even more now that they recently rescued 130 more donkeys in Missouri. Your donations to PVDR make such care possible! https://secure.qgiv.com/for/wdonatiofo

This is a glimpse of some of the other creatures living in relative harmony with the donkeys at our satellite:
Barn cat Kit Kat lives in absolute harmony with the donkeys. He knows which donkeys are cool with him, and which ones don't care for him.
Nigerian Dwarf goats Payday and Snickers live in a pen that separates them from the donkeys. The donkeys like to watch them but could act aggressively if they were together.
Honeybees are outside the donkey area but not far away. They don't bother the donkeys.

Another happy adoption day here in Perry, OK. Wendy and Olaf have found a wonderful family!
