Maybe you remember that we’ve been going through an expansion project in an effort to help more families in our community. And yall. Lots of improvements. A few new faces. Some trials. Some new offerings. And guess what’s next? A lobby refresh! We need more space for all our new friends!

Cute little leap year froggies in occupational therapy!

⏰Time. It’s one of the greatest gifts you can give your kids. Time to think. Time to figure something out. Time to try. Time to mess up. Time to hear encouraging words when they need to keep working. Time to play. Time to pretend and imagine. Time to learn on their own and at their own pace.

❣️Giving them space allows them to learn independence and resiliency. And this builds self-confidence. Frustration is expected and welcomed. That means they’re trying!

Ask your therapist about ways you can create time and space for your kiddo that will create a love of learning. You’ll get some great ideas!

Have you met Kirsten yet? This is Kirsten Posey!She has just hit her halfway mark in her clinical rotation at The Speech Path on her way to becoming a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She is in the Middle Georgia State program and doing a FANTASTIC job with our kiddos!

Kirsten loves dogs and is currently building a new home. She loves the challenge of learning new things - and we can attest that her passion for learning is evident in the quality of her therapy sessions.

PLAY: it’s what we do. And it’s how your kiddo learns. Encourage play at home by creating a space for exploration. Set up a corner or a table and provide toys and art supplies. Chat with your kiddo like you would a friend about what they’re seeing and doing.
