Travel Pendleton
Where legend is still in the making. Welcome to Pendleton, Oregon! Visit and uncover the tried and true experiences of Pendleton, Oregon!
Best known for legendary rodeo, fine woolens, exhilarating events, and talented craftsmanship, Pendleton has a well-deserved reputation as a town where the best of Western tradition, culture, and heritage lives on.
We spent the weekend behind the scenes with Copper + Heat, who we invited back to experience even more of the town we love. Together, we visited restaurants and coffee shops, met with makers, designers, entrepreneurs, and artists, shopped local, attended cultural events, and walked—and walked—and walked.
The best storytelling doesn’t begin with a camera. It begins with listening, curiosity, and connecting to authentic voices. Pendleton’s story is told by the people who create here, preserve traditions, take risks, and welcome visitors.
We’re proud to help share those voices with the world and can’t wait for you to see what comes from this visit. Because the best way to experience Pendleton isn’t just to pass through, it’s to connect.
Thank you Ace and Andy for the smoothest ride around Pendleton. 5 Stars

🚗🚗 A century in a single frame. 🧶🧶
Pendleton is host to more than 300 beautifully restored Model A automobiles visiting town this week, giving locals and visitors an opportunity to witness truly unique time capsules in motion.
What makes this photo so special? It could have been taken nearly 100 years ago. The Model A was introduced in the late 1920s and behind it stands the iconic Pendleton Woolen Mill, an institution that's been operating in our community since 1909. For a moment, the decades seem to have disappeared.
Visitors have traveled thousands of miles to experience the open roads of Eastern Oregon, enjoy scenic drives to regional communities, share their passion for the automotive industry and restoration, and explore a town where history is very much alive.
There is something magical about seeing these historic cars parked alongside the landmarks that have watched over Pendleton for more than a century. Come to Pendleton and take a stroll, admire the craftsmanship, and experience a moment where the past and present meet.

National Donut Day is June 5, and there's one place in Pendleton that deserves a spot on your celebration schedule: Up With Donuts.
This indie and local institution is worth the drive (and the calories). Locals love the peanut butter butterfly and buttermilk bar. We highly recommend the bacon maple bar, cinnamon twist, and just about any crumb-coated creation in the case. Every donut is top shelf.
The truth is there are no wrong choices here. Whether you're a glazed traditionalist or a connoisseur of frosting and sprinkles, celebrating with Up With Donuts is the move and leaves no crumbs. Plan your trip to Pendleton and be sure to fit in a donut during your stay! 🍩

Slow your roll and step back in time.
The Pendleton Round-Up Wagon Train hitches up June 22-27, and there's still time to sign up, but the registration deadline is coming soon.
You don't have to be a teamster to join this adventure. Participants can also experience this journey through Eastern Oregon riding in a wagon or on horseback, traveling routes much like those who passed through Pendleton before on the Oregon Trail.
Trade highways for wagon tracks, connect with the beautiful Oregon landscape, share stories around camp, enjoy a historic dress up day, and eat some grub!
Whether you're a history enthusiast, teamster, horse lover, or simply looking for a unique and out of the ordinary, but totally unforgettable travel experience, the Wagon Train offers a rare opportunity to slow down, disconnect from the pace of every day life, and become part of a living tradition.

The goats are back and it’s grazing room only 🐐
One of Pendleton’s favorite seasonal traditions has returned as the hillside goats once again get to work clearing brush and turning wildfire mitigation into a community event of its own.
Grab a coffee, take in the fresh air, and join the 2026 Goat Watch as these four-legged landscapers graze their way across the hillsides. Equally adorable and hardworking, they’ve become a local celebrity herd every spring.
Only in Pendleton can wildfire prevention come with this much personality. Check out the City of Pendleton’s page for daily goat tracking, and remember to enjoy watching them from a distance and keep your dogs leashed.
