engagement.

🗳️ At Invest In Me, Civic Engagement is one of our core pillars because we believe preparing young people for adulthood includes preparing them to participate in their communities. Civic engagement is bigger than voting. It’s volunteering, attending community meetings, understanding how government works, speaking up about issues that affect them, and eventually casting an informed vote.

📣 Voices to Votes is a nonpartisan community event that aims to promote civic engagement, educate voters, empower youth, and foster meaningful conversations between candidates, and the people they serve.

🫶 Did you know October is Domestic Awareness month?
3.3 million to 15.5 million children are exposed to domestic violence in the United States each year, while roughly 1 in 3 teens experience relationship or teen dating violence.

💜 Teaching youth about red flags, setting boundaries, and defining their expectations is crucial in breaking cycles of abuse and establishing healthy behaviors at a young age.

💜 Defining what constitutes a healthy relationship between friends, coworkers, teammates, classmates, and romantic partners is fundamental. We are proud of the 50+ students who joined us to learn and connect.
