What stays with us after this year’s Net Zero Conference hosted by is the idea that progress begins with people who keep showing up.
’s keynote was a standout moment. Her story of challenging Big Oil in her own neighborhood and turning that fight into policy change showed what courage looks like in practice.
Our team spent the day connecting with peers, sharing ideas, and exploring how design can help shape a more sustainable future.
During the session on wildfire recovery and landscape resilience, partner Greg Kochanowski joined other experts to discuss how communities are strengthening urban canopies, creating landscape buffers, and planning redevelopment with care. Each example reinforced that collaboration across disciplines is key to building resilience.
The day carried both urgency and optimism, reminding us that collective effort continues to move sustainability forward.

Without windows, a system of artificial light wells were applied to provide equitable "natural light" throughout the space.
