Fire sprinklers save lives and limit property damage!
SPRINKLER SAVE: Earlier this morning, a single fire sprinkler extinguished a fire started by a portable blower fan at a Chipotle in Park Ridge. According to Park Ridge Fire Department Fire Marshal Kevin Plach, no injuries were reported and the fire sprinkler prevented an estimated $50,000 in damage.

Many of our fire hydrants are partially covered by snow. We have been trying to clear them out as we can while our crews are out on the street but we would appreciate any assistance you can provide by trying to clear the snow away from any hydrant on your block. Thank you for your help!

At Monday’s City Council meeting we were proud to recognize Matt Rutledge from our joint dispatch facility, RED Center, as well as five of our own members for their successful efforts to save the life of a 50 year old resident who suffered a cardiac arrest. Congratulations to Chris Herling, Chris Buckley, Greg Garland, Aaron Wilson, and Jake Holwell!
