An essay about Park Ridge by Spencer Stewart, age 9:
“I love living in Park Ridge because it has lots of historical places and good schools. It’s also not too big, with lots of friendly people It has good parks, great food, nice laws and things are close by. I like to stay at my grandmas house too. The designer of the Pickwick and sprite planned my grandmas home. I think Park Ridge is a really nice town to live in.”

To the tune of “Bad Guy” by Billie Eilish (https://youtu.be/DyDfgMOUjCI))
Sushi is real easy to find
Maki is not my favorite kind
But that’s ok because you’ll find
There are lots of options
Pizza is something we don’t need
Cause for ev-ry meal you can feed
On all types si-zes and breeds
Even Neapolitan
This town really needs a
Few more things to eat the
Things we have are fleets of
Sushi crepes and pizza
We want a food scene
Not the same old routine
Where the options are lean
We need some new cuisine..I want Pad Thai- burp!
Crepe shops, we don’t need any more
Ones good, we don’t need three or four
How ma-ny can you eat before
You’ve had e-nough of em
Truth is, it’s started to improve
Turkish, Korean barbecue
But still, we have more things to do
Before we are done
This town really needs a
Few more things to eat the
Things we have are fleets of
Sushi crepes and pizza
We want a food scene
Not the same old routine
Where the options are lean
We need some new cuisine..I want pad Thai- burp!

This is not a tragedy, it's an opportunity for Park Ridge to get its own brewery/restaurant/movie theater/performance space. Looking forward to what the future holds!
