We had an incredible day for the annual Have Dreams Golf Classic on September 14th. Golfers came to the beautiful Kemper Lakes Golf Club to enjoy a fun day on the course followed by dinner, raffles and a silent auction. Our Golf Classic raised an incredible amount to benefit the children, teens and adults with autism that Have Dreams serves!

A group of human service professionals serving adults with IDD in Japan visited Have Dreams to learn about its programs and treatment approach for people with ASD. The group included Akiko Toyama, a case manager at a day program for people with IDD, Shunta Kariatsumaru, a case manager at a residential program for adults with ASD, and Mr. Fujita and Mr. Okada, staff members from Shimizu Foundation, a non-profit organization that sponsored this visit.

Since our founding in 1996, Have Dreams' Social Buddy volunteers have played an important role in our programs by not only assisting with implementing our structured activities, but by also being a friendly and supportive presence for our participants with autism. We are proud to say that several of our past Social Buddies have gone on to have careers that center on inclusion, including many that are in leadership roles at Have Dreams today!
