What a Sunday! We kicked off Pride Month with the story of Stonewall, plus celebrated a 62nd wedding anniversary and our 8th grade and MBA graduates. Pastor Scott carried a backpack full of weights and removed them one by one to represent the freedom that comes when we are no longer ruled by an inner voice that says we are not enough. After the service, we talked church strategy at our Town Hall.

The All Means All team decorated the church today — inside and out — in preparation for the start of Pride Month on Monday.

Sunday Night Suppers will begin again on September 13. Thanks to all the volunteers and food donors for your support during our first year of hosting Sunday Night Suppers at First UMC!

A huge thank you to Park Ridge Community Church, our sponsor and longtime supporter of Sunday Night Suppers! Thank you also to City Barbeque for donating a wonderful dinner including BBQ pork and mac and cheese. We are also grateful to Nothing Bundt Cake for sending our guests home with a sweet treat. We are taking a break for the summer and look forward to welcoming guests back on September 13
