Hearty Pasta

Romantic relationship are cool, but have you heard of mac and cheese?

Season the pasta water —
After filling your pot with water, season generously with salt. Don't worry, it won't all soak into the pasta. It also won’t bring your cooking water to a boil faster!

Use a big enough pot.
During cooking, pasta can expand in volume up to three times its original size. So you’ll want to be sure you leave plenty of room in your pot.

Of course I can cook! I usually boil water and drop the pasta in it.

Is there a spaghetti monster or a meatball monster? I’ll take them on!

Cook pasta in a large volume of rapidly boiling salted water; it should taste like seawater! I use five quarts to boil a pound of dried pasta.
