Not every feeling is a giant red flag when it comes to your mental health. đźš©
We asked real therapists where they wish people would give themselves more grace. Read what they said at the link in bio.
Walking out of a therapy session feeling worse than when you walked in rarely means something’s wrong. In fact, it’s more likely a sign of progress.
According to Alexandra Cromer, LPC, that drained or uncomfortable feeling often comes up when you start recognizing patterns you’ve been avoiding (think: apologizing when you didn’t do anything wrong or ignoring what your body has been telling you). It’s an important part of the process.
Save this for when you’re tempted to cancel your next session, or send it to someone who might need it.
We asked real therapists to share the surprisingly simple questions that can unlock big revelations. Get the full list of perspective-shifting questions at the link in bio.

Sometimes life looks fine on paper and still feels a little off, like you’re going through the motions without quite knowing where you’re headed.
Therapists say that feeling is more common than ever right now, and it’s usually pointing to something useful: a gap between the life you expected and the one you’re actually living.
Swipe through for therapist-backed journal prompts to help you reflect, then read the full article at the link in bio.
We focus so much on what we “should” be doing. But sometimes the biggest changes show up in what becomes easier to let go. What would you add?
If starting therapy has been on your mind, the link in bio is a good place to start. Covered by most insurance, appointments available within days.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re breaking down what three common conditions might actually look like. Last one: anxiety.
Most people think of anxiety as a mental thing, but anyone who has experienced it knows it shows up physically too. Chest tightness that has you Googling your symptoms at 2 a.m. Unexplained skin reactions. Needing to use the bathroom more than usual. These are all documented physical responses to anxiety.
The problem is that most people never make that connection. They treat the symptom and wonder why nothing helps. If any of this sounds familiar, it might be worth talking to someone. Find a provider at the link in bio.

Every year, we survey 2,000 Americans to learn how people really feel about therapy, mental health care, and the things keeping them up at night.
While the answer in the swipe wasn’t a big surprise—the same generation topped last year’s list—a lot of what we found in this year’s report was, including thoughts on AI, what’s causing stress these days, and why people share more with their therapist than with anyone else in their lives. Link in bio for the full report, including what has (and hasn’t) changed over the last 3 years.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re breaking down what three common conditions actually look like, because the stereotype is often wrong. This week: ADHD in women.
Most people’s mental image of ADHD is similar: hyperactive, scattered, forgetful. But that’s not what it looks like for most women. Women with ADHD are more likely to internalize, mask, or spend years being told they’re too sensitive, disorganized, or just not trying hard enough. What’s actually happening is neurological.
Not being able to start a task even when you really want to. Losing track of time completely. Feeling disproportionately crushed by criticism. These are the symptoms that often get missed.
If this feels familiar, it might be worth talking to someone. Find a provider at the link in bio.
Mother’s Day feels different for everyone. However it lands for you this year, we’re thinking of you.
