Same girl, same. (The head tilt keeps the chin shadow from blocking the jewels.) This is one mother (pun intended) of instagram vs. reality. This last week and a half has been…something. But then Sawyer got a dream opportunity to intern for malbon for their US Open events and I was kvelling. Had ALL of my boys with me for a fab Daniel Arsham art filed summer soirée, Aunt Nati and I showed up for each other as always in work and in life, found out that ScHoolboy Q babysits ❤️ and Raf got a rapper nickname and met Shooter McGavin. People constantly say that I can do it all. I can’t do it at all, but I can do a lot, and yet sometimes I’m not sure how I’m going to get through the week. But then I throw on my jewelry armor — my story and style told in gold — and head to an evening with those that I love who make it all worth it and I’m dressed and decked to show up. Then I come home with a ful heart and ready to hit the ground running again. For all of you that are in the thick of it, don’t forget, summer’s coming. So throw on your stacks 💎💎 and get after it. We’re in this together. And we’re gonna look good doing it. 😘 ❤️

In 2010, ELLE Magazine called me a “cult jeweler” — and honestly? Turns out they weren’t wrong!

I just didn’t know yet how true that would become. This month, Garland Collection turns 18 years old — and when I actually stop and look back at everything that’s happened… in business, in life, in the stories we’ve told together through jewelry… I’m genuinely blown away. Like who ARE we?! 🥲

Here’s what I know for sure: Garland Collection has cult status.

It’s a happy cult. A loyal one. Built entirely around community, around storytelling, and around the belief that the right piece of jewelry doesn’t just accessorize your outfit — it tells your story. That not just those around you, but also you yourself get to tell your story and celebrate life.

You’ll probably see a bit more reminiscing over the next week, but this one really took me back — I can vividly remember being in LA (the full quote is “West Coast jeweler”), and thinking - “I’m a writer that fell into having a jewelry line - this is so humbling and exciting, but like…whaaaat?!!”

Who knew that the more things change… the more they’d stay the same. ❤️

Now eighteen years of an evolving jewelry line and full on lifestyle brand with so many clients that have literally been with us from the beginning, continuing to add to their collections, and a community that always feels like friends who are rooting each other on. Eighteen years of women walking into rooms differently because of what’s around their neck (or wrists, ears, fingers…). Eighteen years of YOU.

We’re just getting started. Here’s to 18.
